In the last year, I have attended quite a number of wedding, and each time one comes along it is always a struggle deciding what to wear. For ladies, when attending a wedding the opt to wear a long gown, however I'm not a big fan of wearing super long gowns at every formal event. Once in a while a gown is fine, however I tend to go towards more knee length outfits. Therefore, thought I'd share some of my go-to styles to wear when attending a wedding for those have a hard time deciding what to wear as well as those looking for chic alternatives from a gown.

Fashion: TMP Fashion Trench Coat Styled for Fall

Stylish Fall coat with a twist!

During the early Fall months when its getting colder but still a bit warm in the day, my go-to jacket is always a trench coat. This still allows me to stay warm in the cooler weather, while still being stylish.

Trenches are typically worn in a neutral colour, such as beige, black & navy blue. Although, one tends to gravitate towards coat in one solid colour, why not add some spice to it by getting one in a bold bright color or print! I have been wanted an African Print trench coat for a longest time, so was excited with I received this beautiful piece by the Lagos based Nigrian brand TMP Fashion. Founded in 2004, TMP Fashions offers a selection of top notch clothing, jewelry and accessories.

As we are well into the Fall season, its time to bring out the sweaters. I previously was not really much into sweaters as I prefer the summer months when I can wear light clothing. However over the past few years sweaters have gown on me as I have been able to find cute pieces to style to my liking. Primark is the UK plug!! 

As you know, I just came back form London, and of course y'all know I had to hit up my favourite store in the Primark! This store never lets me down! Whenever I am in London it is a must for me to shop at Primark and I always leave with fab fashion finds for such a cheap price. Although this time around the Canadian exchange rate was HORRIBLE, the conversion price of the items I got were still a great price. It was also worth it since I was able to get items that I probably wouldn't find in Canada or in the colour I wanted for the same cheap price. I will definitely be sharing a complete look at my Primark shopping haul soon on the blog so stay tuned!

Lookbook: It's all about Burgundy

Although Spring has officially started, we are unfortunately still experiencing the cold winter weather. Therefore, in this transitional seasonal time, why not rock some coloured outerwear to brighten things up!

Burgundy is one of my favourite colours to wear during the winter. I like that its deep tone brings a pop of colour to a look, without being too bright in a gloomy winter setting. Therefore, when putting this lookbook together, Burgundy was the obvious colour of choice.

Now, I more so prefer weather that does not require a jacket, however, I do enjoy rocking a light jacket during the Fall and Sping months. Jackets can be a fun fashion piece to add to any outfit and dress it up or add some character to a look. With that said, I'm all about a rocking a coloured jacket. A coloured jacket provides a nice pop of colour to your look and allows you stand out. Lookbook: African Fashion Week Toronto 2016, Opening Soiree Lookbook

 

For my first look during AFWT 2016, I decided to keep it simple. I had recently picked up a fabulous black and white headwrap by Kwesiya Clothing and was waiting for the perfect time to rock it. With the commencement of  AFWT's weekend of events, the opening soiree for seemed like the perfect place to showcase my beautiful crown.

In putting this look together, I wanted the main focus to be on my headwrap so it could shine, therefore I opted to pair it with very simple black dress as well as simple accessories....
