FASHION: Beyonce Wears Africn Fashion Brand EnaGancio Fashions Found on Esty

Okaaayyy Beyonce! I see you! You are slaying that suit girl!

While attending Swiss Beatz’s Dreamweavers exhibition in LA last month, Beyonce came through with a show stopping look. Furthermore, this was not just any look, rather this was quite special is she wore and African print fashion piece by Nigerian American designer Ena Udemba from her fashion line EnaGancio Fashions. Moreover, what makes this even more extraordinary is the fact that Beyone and her stylist Zerin Akers found and handpicked Ena's fashion brand on Esty!

I just loved the fact that they are supporting black brands and chose to work with a lesser known, up and coming African brand...

Music: African Artists Nominated for the 2018 BET Awards

The 2018 BET Awards in around the corner and as usually, we have all been looking forward to  finding out which African Artists will be nominated this year. It has been great over the years seeing the grown of African musicians being recognized on the international stage, particularly at such a major international award show as the BET Awards. We are still waiting for them to award those within the African category on the main stage during the main show thogh!! This fact has always been a area of controversy and heated discussions each year. I guess we'll have to and see if anything changes during this year's show.

This year is seems they have switched up the categories a bit buy combining both the African artists and the other international artists into one category, Best International Act. This had mad the category quite huge! Not sure if that's a good change, however I am still happy to see African artists represented in a category. On the other hand, a new category which is a great addition is 'Best New International Act' which also includes a number of African artists as nominees.

Continue to check out all of the African artists nominated for a 2018 BET award...
