Looks like my boo Idris in jumping more into the music game as a rapper, with his feature in the hot new track 'Boasty' by Wiley x Sean Paul x Stefflon Don. It has always been known that Idris is heavy in the music industry as a DJ, however it's dope to see him switch it up by rapping on a track. As for the song itself, I'm really loving the mixture of the UK grime with dancehall vibe. Also, the young boy playing the main character in the music video is super cute!

MUSIC: 30 Current Top Ghanaian Songs to Add to Your Afrobeats Playlist

I have been meaning to share this ever since I came back from my vacation in Ghana!

As a big time African music lover, or shall I say Afrobeats head (if this is even a thing lol), every year when I go to Ghana I make sure to pay close attention to what songs are poppin'. Although I always try to keep up with the latest and hottest Afrobeats songs from afar in Toronto, there are some limitations to what you can be exposed to online. I find there to be a major difference in ones ability to sense what songs are hot when they are actually in Ghana. You experiences first hand what songs are played the most at parties and on the local radio, what songs artists perform the most at shows as well as feel the crowds reaction each time a song is played. These are things simply listening to songs on YouTube cannot give you.

Furthermore, whenever I get back from vacation in Ghana I have some friends that always ask me to share a playlist of the current songs that were big in GH. Therefore, I thought why not share this on the blog as well!...

The title of the song is a perfect reflection of how much Burna boy has been killin' us with the hits for the past year and there are no signs of him slowing down. Ever since hearing this song during my vacation in Ghana, I have been hooked! She has such an amazing voice. This enticed me to look into more of her music and I instantaneously became a huge fan. Such a great talent with a refreshing sound. Definitely looking forward to hearing more great things from Teni.

The weekend is finally here!

To start off the weekend, I have a fun song for y'all yo jam to. During my vacation in Ghana, there was so much great music. One particular song that stood out was the song 'Jama' by DJ Mic Smith Ft. Patoranking & Shaker, due to the use of the traditional Ghanaian Jama rhythm as well as the comedic lyrics of the song lol.Whenever I would hear it, I couldn't help buy laugh and dance at the same time. The music video also does not disappoint as it is quite entertaining and filled with good humour.

This may because Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz is currently in town and will be holding a concert tonight. I have been grooving to the hit track 'Jibebe' a lot lately by Wcb which features Diamond along with Mbossa and Lavalava. It has a really nice vibe to it.

For ladies, when attending a wedding the opt to wear a long gown, however I'm not a big fan of wearing super long gowns at every formal event. Once in a while a gown is fine, however I tend to go towards more knee length outfits. It's the start of another work week, and I'm definitely not ready. But with the help of some cool Afrobeat vibes, I'll get there lol. This week I'm sharing with y'all the latest track by Wizkid 'Fever'. This song became viral and was all over Social Media last week and it definitely was not because of the actual song. It was all about the video. Talk about hot and steamy chemistry! What am I talking about you ask? Well, the video features fellow Nigerian artist Tiwa Savage, however not in a musical role but rather play the leading lady and Wizkids love interest. This spark further speculation that someting is going on between the two romantically in real life, which has been a long standing rumor.

Fashion: 12 Fave Looks From 'King of Boys' Movie Premiere

A few weeks ago, Kemi Adetiba the film director behind the very popular 'The Wedding Party' movie, premiered their latest film 'King of Boys' in Lagos, Nigeria. It was a start studded event and usual, all eye were on the fashions worn on the red carpet. The theme for the premiere was 'Gangster Royalty.' Many in attendance went all out with their looks to represent this theme and with so much creativity.

The work week is now over, so its time to enjoy the weekend! I'm still trying to get over all the fun I had last weekend at the Fally Ipupa concert last weekend. It was such a good show. He definitely know how to work the stage and entertain the crowd. Will be sharing more on my time and coverage of the concert soon, so stay tuned to the blog.
