Happy New Month! September Orange Feature of the Month
Although most see this as meaning summer is now over, I don't! Yes, Labour Day has passed and many are returning back to school, but the weather is still nice and warm so there is still more time to enjoy.
This summer has been quite a busy one, with many travels and so many events attended. Therefore, while I can still enjoy the warm weather, I am glad I can look forward to a bit more down time this month to relax and recuperate from all my summer fun...

January was maaaddd long, but thank God we are finally in February. This mean we are nearing the end of the cold winter months and I am all for that! :)
February is also a special month as it is also Black History Month. Therefore, this month with be filled with many event and activities celebrating black history, culture and excellence. I'm definitely looking forward to attending a few events myself, and of course with each event I attend, I need a great outfit to wear. Because I always love to wear bright and vibrant colours, this orange midi dress dress will definitely have me stand out in a crowd.

Happy New Month!: November Orange Feature of the Month - Bouswari Handbag
Wow, I can't believe we are already in November! The year went by so fast!!
As we have come closer to the end of the year, this means my binge shopping online spree is about to begin lol. The first thing on my list to get my hands on was this beautiful Bouswari satchel bag. I had been eying this Senegalese brand of bags for the longest time and have always been interested in gettinga bag for myself. Therefore, as soon as I saw that they had added an orange bag to their new collection, I was immediately sold!!
Thus, my orange feature this month is my lovely new orange leather Bouswari bag. I especially love that this is a local Toronto brand and that all her handbags are crafted and handmade in Senegal.

Happy New Month! April Orange Feature on the Month
We are now in the month of April and I am all here for the warmer weather, the flowers blooming and the increase in events in the city! April also brings the beginning of my travel binging lol! I'm so excited for my upcoming vacation in a couple weeks, y'all don't even understand! More details on that to come. :)
April also means a lot for The Afrofusion Spot blog as I have started to embark in on a few new ventures, this is the month were I will be working hard to fully develop and establish these new items. One of the latest things I have recently ventured into is my Afrofusion Spot Podcast. I'm having so much fun developing this, have had such great guests on the show so far and am very humbled by all the positive feedback I've been getting from listeners...

We are now in the month of October which means summer is over and Fall is here! Although I am more of a summer person, I don't mind the cooler temperatures in the beginning of fall. May also marks a time for spring cleaning, re-organizing and for some re-decorating. I definitely have a lot of Spring cleaning and re-organizing to do myself. My main area to clean up is my balcony/patio, which became a mess over the Fall and Winter months due to the snow and the Condo construction happening across the street. Now that the weather is getting warmer, its time for me to enjoy some nice outdoor dining and lounging out on my patio...

We haven't reached the middle of the month yet, so it's still somewhat new lol.
April is here, so we are officially in Spring, however the current Toronto weather got us feeling like it's still winter. It'll be warm one day, then freezing cold, then it rains and then cold again. Can you believe it has been SNOWING too!! I don't know what is going on but this weather is so bi-polar lol. When will the warm weather return???

Happy New Month! March Orange Feature of the Month
Sadly, I missed that last 2 months of orange features, so wanted to make sure to get back on track this month.
The orange feature for this month is this beautiful orange African print clutch purse that I pick up during my trip to Ivory Coast in December. Of course, I was drawn to it right away when I saw it! I had been looking for something nice to bring back with me to remember my wonderful trip to Ivory Coast. I didn't want a basic souvenir that I would most likely put away, but rather wanted something that I would potentially use on a regular basis. This cute purse fit that bill exactly. I can't wait to rock this piece on an upcoming night out on the town :)

I've been so busy lately getting ready for my upcoming vacation, I almost forgot to post this lol. We are now in December, the last month of the year, the beginning of winter and also a time for celebrating the holidays. The orange feature of the month is this chic orange floor vase. Hey my AFS peeps!
I know, I know...I've been MIA for the last few weeks :( Sorry y'all!
So, I was away for the last bit celebrating my Birthday in Vegas , and yes I will have a travel diary post up soon to cover all my Vegas adventures, stay tuned. You can currently see some of my Vegas activities on Instagram @theafrofusionspot . Since I've been back, I've been out and about a lot doing a bit more of Bday celebrations and trying to get the last bit of my summer enjoyment LOL.
Now I'm back! And I'll try not to stay away for too long like that again.
Summer is official over so I'll be in hibernation mode...but no worries I will still be bringing you lots of great style, music, lifestyle, travel and Real Talk goodness for you to enjoy :)
