Nigerian Designer Nancy Nwadire's highly anticipated 'Rhythm' Collection for her Iconic Invanity fashion label was launched recently, and its all kinds of fabulous. Featuring South African model Tansey Coetzee-Sodeinde, this collection embodies an excellent clean use of bold colour, rich embellishments and geometric lines. Each structured piece exudes an air of strength and sophistication. I especially love her creative use of capes throughout the collection.
In describing her collection, Nwadire explains...
“Sometimes,
the woman is King. Secure, powerful, bold and courageous dancing to the
rhythm of her beat. For this collection I was drawn once again to the
beauty and strength of the Iconic Invanity woman and her journey,
dreams, culture, explorations and discoveries.“
I definitely see this represented throughout the collection. This is by far one of the most intriguing and unique collections from an African designer that I've come across in a while. One will definitely stand out in any one of these pieces. This is definitely an excellent collection truly exemplifying couture African luxury fashion.
