This past weekend, I had a fun filled day hangin' with my girls. We hadn't seen eachother in a while so we planed a full day of activities runnin' through the 6. In the end, the day would produce this cool urban streetstyle lookbook....
To start off our girls day, we met at a nail salon in the morning and got our nails done while we kiki'd and caught up on the various happenings in our busy lives. After our nails were done (which by the way turned out fabulously; will definitely go back to that place) we had an African Fashion Week model search event to attend in the afternoon (will have a blog post about this event up soon). Since we still had a lot of time to kill before the event started, we decided to venture off into Kensington Market to get some lunch at the Caribbean food spot Rasta Pasta...
For those who don't know Kensington Market, it is a hip part of town filled with many unique and independent local food grocers, restaurants, clothing stores, art shops and bars. Many of the shops carry items from local designers and artists, therefore it is a great place to find unique pieces. In addition, Kensington Market is also known for its large artistic expression through graffiti art. All throughout Kensington, one will find a wide array of cool graffiti art tagged by various local graffiti artists.
With the beauty of all this art around us and already being dressed the part, we were inspired to do an impromptu urban streetstyle lookbook shoot showcasing each of our individual styles.
Check it out!
