Events: 2015 African Fashion Week Toronto - Day 2 Student Designer Competition

To kick off the Day 2 of the 2015 AFWT, the first runway presentation was a student designer competition. Many talented African student designers showcased their designs to a panel of judges. It is so great that AFWT included student designers within their event and are supporting young designers. This provided a nice platform for fashion students to showcase their collections to the public and also provided them with the experience of conducting a runway show. In the end, the designer Kyle Gervacy emerged as the winner. He presented a very creative and intriguing collection, thus well deserved win.At the end of all the runway shows, I was also able to meet a few of the designers as well as some of the fabulous models.

Check out some of my favourite looks that went down the runway during the student designer competition and the people I met...

Unfortunately, I missed the shows of the first two student designers :(  However, I found some great shots taken by Che Rosales Photography of a few of my favourite looks from the Ofuure & PBF Student collections.
