Day 3: 2015 African Fashion Week Toronto - Day 3 Style Profile

With Day 3 of AFWT being the main day of the event as there would be a full day of runway shows, I wanted to have a more dressed up look. So, I went back to my love affair with Kente and rocked a Kente flared bottom dress from my AfroGlam Designs fashion line. The weather was also beautiful and bright, so I also wanted to go for a more colourful look.

'Kente Flare'

Yield for African fashion!
I absolutely love this Kente flared bottom AfroGlam dress. It has a nice feminine and flirty feel to it. I really like the style of a flared bottom dress in general as they are also great in accentuating ones curves. To add a bit of sophistication I again paired my outfit with a blazer, this time a burgundy over-sized blazer from Honest Eds (Don't sleep on that store y'all, you can find great stuff there!). Blazers and dresses are always a great combination. Furthermore, I went with a pair of burgundy chunky open toe heels this time, but again with comfort in mind. I find I can last longer in chunky heels, so these were perfect for my full day at the event. For accessories I rocked all gold. Gold accessories work best when wearing a traditional Kente print. I especially love my gold 'Gye Nyame' ring I wore that I got some time ago when I was in Ghana. I was definitely reppin' for Ghana with this look on Day 3 LOL. Finally, when wearing a colorful outfit, it is best to pair it with a neutral bag. Therefore, to complete my look I wore one of my favourite bags, a neutral beige tassled bag with a long gold link chain strap.
