Out and About: Weekend Beach Day Getaway

As the extremely hot and humid 35+ degree weather consumed me over this weekend, I thought this definitely calls for a beach day! Lucky for me, I had some friends that had rented a cottage for the weekend and staying in Wasaga Beach, ON, so decided to take a day trip to join them there for some fun in the sun. It was definitely nice to have a quick weekend just an hour and a half outside the city.

With no intentions of actually swimming (I wasn't trying to get my hair wet lol) I assembled a cute summer beachy outfit for my trip.

Overalls: American Eagle / Necklace: Ardene

I wanted to achieve a very easy breezy simple beachy look, so I decided to rock these cute short overalls and paired it with a plain white crop. I wanted to add a pop of colour, therefore I chose a red long-strap crossbody bag and a colourful necklace. I kept it simple with a white watch, silver bracelets and blue flipflops. Finally, in order to complete my beach look, of course I needed a wide rim sun hat! Thus, I topped off my look with a nice brown sun hat.

After the beach, my friends and I headed over to the cottage to end off the day with a fun evening of BBQing, games and jamming to some nice tunes.
 
This was great, much needed fun filled weekend getaway to enjoy with friends. Hope to do this again before the summer ends.
