Miss G: #OOTD Looks of the Week ~Makeda Couture~

Hey Y'all! Hope you all enjoyed your Easter long weekend holiday. :)

My #OOTD today feature this cute piece from Guyana based African fashion brand Makeda Couture. This time around I wanted to try something new, and since I have never worn a African print patchwork piece, this unique immediately caught my eye. At first glance it looks like a beautiful long shirt, however there is a hidden suprise.

SURPRISE, They're pants! I haven't really seen this unique style done before with African prints and I absolutely love it! This makes it such a dope and unique African fashion piece. I can see myself rocking this during the summer to a festival or outdoor day event.

Top: Ardene / Shoes: The Shoe Company

I felt the burgundy tones stood out the most in this piece, therefore I paired it with a long-sleeve burgundy crop top and a pair of burgundy sandals. It's best to style to so that everything else is neutral in order to ensure that the pants are the main focus and stands out.
