Another one of our African brothers is making big moved in the International fashion industry. It was announced a few weeks ago that Ghanaian-American designer Virgil Abloh has been appointed the new menswear designer for luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton. This is BIG! Virgil consequently becomes the first African-American artistic director of Louis Vuitton.
Virgil is also the designer of the increasingly popular urban streetwear brand Off-White brand and the creative director for Kanye West's brand. Furthermore, he has also collaborated with other major brands such as Nike, Jimmy Choo and Moncler. If that's not enough, he is also a DJ!
With his talent, experience and unique fashion vision, it's only fitting that he would achieve this major opportunity share his talent with a leading international fashion brand such as Louis Vuitton.
