Events: Afrofest 2017

It's that time of year again! Afrofest 2017 is finally here!

This is one of the main events I look forward to every year, where the whole community comes out to celebrate Africa! This year I am extra super excited to see the international Nigerian music group Bracket perform on the main stage!

Afrofest, presented by Music Africa, features dance, workshops, theatre, poetry, delicious food and other activities for young adults and children. There are over 35 live performances taking place with artists representing both traditional and modern African music and sing in English, French and several African languages. There are also workshops, dance groups, a children’s village and marketplace with over 70 vendors.

Music Africa is a non-profit organization with the aim of promoting African music for over 20 years.
