Events: Kuwala Style Bazaar Recap

Fabulous fashions at the Kuwala Style Bazaar!

A couple weeks ago I attended the Kuwala Style Bazaar, where I browsed through their extensive selection of African inspired fashions and accessories up for sale. In addition to the Kuwala brand merchandise, there were also other local designers present offering pieces from their brand for sale as well.

I has such great time checking out the beautiful fashions from the various brands as well as chatting a bit with the designers and attendees at the event. Within the Style Bazaar there were fashion brands that I was familiar with, however, I was also introduced to a few new brands that y'all should definitely check out!

See what I was up to at the Kuwala Style Bazaar...

Upon arrival, I was welcomed to a space filled with a wonderful selection of African fashion items. So, of course, I couldn't help but to start browsing the available merchandise on display right away.

ZNA.K Designs:
This is a brand known to me as I present fabulous fashion runway show during African Fashion Week last year. During the Style Bazaar, ZNA.K Designs offered pieces in her latest Spring/Summer 2016 collection. This included many chic dresses and skirts. I was immediately drawn to her Ivy mesh dress, it was just too fab!

Nat & Lili:
This is an new brand specializing in African inspired Children's clothing an accessories. I was really drawn to their African print baby changing mat, what a great idea! I also really liked their unique baby sleeping sack creation, which is a wearable blanket. These would definitely make wonderful baby shower gifts. It's great to see an Afrocentric children's brand based here in Toronto.

Adjoa Atelier:
This brand offered custom made caps, purses and tops with the use of Dashiki and Kente print. I especially loved their unique take on a Dashiki top in their use of see-through lace fabrics as well as the cool design details on their caps. Very trendy for the summer months.

All in all, had such a great time at the Kuwala Style Bazaar. I'll definitely be looking forward to the next one, as they hold this event once each season.
