Style Crush: Lupita Nyong'o Headwrap Queen

Lupita has been slaying it a lot recently, rocking wonderful Afrocentric looks. However, what I'm loving the most from these looks is how she has included and beautifully wears headwraps in her style.

I began to take notice of this in her red carpet look during the premiere of her film 'Queen of Katwe at the just ended Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF)....

Since then, she has included a beautiful headwrap to every look she has worn for appearances. I absolutely love this as she is contributing to providing more mainstream and international exposure for African fashion. I especially like how she is able to create Afrocentric looks with mainstream fashion designers. Her addition of a headwrap and how it is intricately and uniquely tied is absolutely fabulous.

During her press tour rounds promoting her film 'Queen of Katwe' Lupita has been also rocking some beautiful looks from African fashion Designers, and of course she is wearing a fabulous headwrap with every piece!

Unfortunately, I was unable to watch the film during TIFF, however I plan to head over to theatre to watch it soon. I'm particularly interested to see how this Disney movie portrays an African story. For those who have already watch it, what are your thoughts?

Furthermore, she has reached another major accolade in her career in gracing the cover of VOGUE magazine for the 3rd time!

In her Vogue spread, she continues to showcase her Afrocentric style and I love it! Here are a few of my fave shots...

Not only is she an actress and fashionista, she has now shown us that she got bars too! lol

Thank you Lupita for continuing to support and promote Africa and African fashion. Hopefully she continues this well after her promotions for 'Queen of Katwe' ends.

Keep slaying that crown proudly girl!
