Travel Diaries: My Stay in the Omni Chicago Hotel

In this next installment of my Chicago travel diary, I'll be sharing my experience staying in our fabulous accommodations at the luxurious Omni Chicago Hotel in Downtown Chicago.

Now, you all know I love the spaciousness of a hotel suite, so when looking for a hotel to stay in during our quick trip to Chicago, the all-suites and luxury of the Omni Chicago Hotel was perfect! In addition, we wanted to be in a central part of downtown, therefore its location in the high-end Magnificent Mile area right on the Michigan Avenue strip definitely fulfilled this requirement. This allowed us to be in close proximity to attractions, restaurants and shopping...

Upon arrival to the Omni Chicago Hotel, we quickly took in the beauty and high-end, modern design of the lobby. We were greeted by friendly front desk staff, and check-in was quick and simple.

After checking in, we proceeded to our spacious Deluxe Suite which included a bedroom with a king size bed, separate living area, HD television, desk, large private bathroom as well as a wetbar/minibar.

We were also graciously provided with a nice welcome spread of goodies from hotel management, which was a total surprise and nice touch. We were provided with a delicious cheese and cured meat spread as well as a bottle of wine and sparkling water. They also took the time to write us a nice welcome note. This definitely made us feel very welcomed and appreciative of the excellent service so far.

While enjoying our treats, we explored our suite and check out its many amenities.

The living area was a great size. It included a nice three-seater couch, a large desk, bright windows and a HD flat screen TV. This made for the perfect space to lounge.

Large King Bed
The bedroom included a King size bed which was very comfy and had just enough walking space to move around it. More than enough space for two people to share.

Wetbar
Furthermore, the room also included a nice wetbar/minibar with a large selection of treats and drinks. It also included a coffee machine with a selection of coffees and teas. Although we did not use any of the minibar items, it was still very nice and convenient to have.

Minibar Treats
Mini Bar
Large Bathroom
The bathroom was very spacious and had a very bright vanity mirror. It would have been nice to have double sinks, however the ample counter space was well appreciated as it came in handy when getting ready to go out. Nothing is worse than having little to no counter space to lay out all your makeup and other bathroom supplies. We definitely did not have this problem in our Omni Chicago Hotel suite! In addition, the room included two bath robes, which is always a nice bonus.
Very satisfied with our room, we decided also explore the rest of the hotel to see what amenities were available. The Omni Chicago Hotel had a lot to offer as it had an indoor swimming pool and hot tub, two outdoor sundecks, a gym, a rooftop garden and an on site restaurant & bar.
Breakfast Room Service
In addition, the hotel offered in-room dining services, therefore we decided to try it out for breakfast.  The breakfast in-room dining service was great. We did not have to wait too long for our food and they provided all the necessary cutlery and condiments. Our meals were great and were also very filling with the added croissants, juices and coffee.

All and all, an amazing stay at the Omni Chicago Hotel! We were provided top notch service and provided very comfortable accommodations. Would definitely stay here again. The next time you are in Chicago, definitely check them out!
