Last month I attend the The Face of African Fashion Week Toronto 2017 model competition, which occurred in the luxurious Yorkville at Posh Supperclub. The event showcased the many beautiful melanin queens Toronto has to offer as they battled it out for the coveted Face of African Fashion week prize. Denim & White
The first segment of the competition had the contestants strutting their stuff in a neutral Denim & white top look.
Swimsuit
The second segment was the swimsuit competition. I really liked the unique ways each contestants accessorized and styled their swimsuits.
Personal Style
Finally, the last segment of the competition involved each contestant showcasing their personal styles. There was great diversity in the looks that came down the runway, and I especially liked those that incorporated some form of African fashion into their looks.
Prize Giveaways
After the final segment, the judges went on to deliberate in order to narrow the contestants down to the top 5. As this went on, attendees were able to enjoy some of the complimentary appetizers as well participate in the many giveaway competitions.
